I’ll be reading at the
Berkeley Poetry Festival this year—along with a bevy of eclectic and wonderful writers…

More about the event:
Mother’s Hen has sponsored & coordinated the Berkeley Poetry Festival for eleven years. This year’s 2010 8th Annual Berkeley Poetry
Festival will be held on Saturday, June 5th from 1—6 P.M., in front of the former bookstore Cody’s, at the corner of Telegraph & Haste
Opium has posted my flash piece The Mandrake and it’s not so bad for a being a story about a scary little root! It was one of the 15 finalists in their book mark contest.
In other news…do you know who Sara Fran Wisby is? If you don’t you should because she’s a knockout poet–
I reviewed her latest book of poetry for Cherry Bleeds… What was that? You missed it, well you can visit The Small Desk Press blog and read my review, and Paul Corman-Roberts review as well, and then you can click on the link to buy her book–it’s a must read for 2010.
—-I’ll admit it, I like it when people say nice stuff about my work–so I wanted to shoot some like right back at Eric Beeny and his blog (Dead End on Progressive Ave)
And not just because he appreciates my take on Disneyland–he’s got a snazzy rendition of the Nativity in his poem published right next to mine in the current online issue of Zygote In My Coffee
Anyway–
2009 I’m done with you–
I’m looking toward a new year, but can’t complain about the writing, the friends, and the good times--
I’m ready–2010 Bring it!
A little flash coming along soon at Instant City
and the new Full of Crow is almost here—January 2010–
I’ll be back to announce the unveiling–
in the meantime–
let’s celebrate the bittersweet ending,
and the bristling beginnings–
